There are lots of different reasons and factors that can affect your child’s growth and development over time. It is important to remember that all little ones develop at different rates and there is no standard growth pattern in all children, for example a normal child may start to walk as early as 11 months or as late as 18 months. There is a large range when it comes to what is normal. However, if you have any concerns at all regarding how your little one is growing, share your concerns with your health visitor or family doctor who will be able to give you further advice.
